Papier. Not just paper.

Paper has the life of folding, smoothing, cutting, glueing, forming and more. A friend gave me an old French clown figure with a stage as his tummy, I fell in love with it and started making these Character Gift Boxes out of paper and repurposed items. These are either the gift or the box for the gift to go in. The masks represent a recent interest. I love animals and am finding these representations of coyotes, wolfs, and composite animals to be thrilling and challenging. I am venturing further into larger pieces, including full size animals! The boats are simply fun to make, the flags can say Congratulations, Happy Birthday or something else . The illustrated table name cards at the end of this page show a few of the cards that I developed for a wedding. Each of the cards is totally handmade, with illustrations of the storyline associated with the fantasy location.. No computer generated art—just my watercolor brush!
